How To Maintain The Diesel Engine Bearing?

​Under normal operation of the diesel engine, diesel engine bearing wear is inevitable, so we need to correctly master the maintenance methods.

1. Before starting the diesel engine, add enough lubricating oil. Sufficient lubricating oil must be pumped into each system of the diesel engine with a manual pump. The friction surface should be initially lubricated before starting.

2. After the new engine is started, it should be run at low speed and no-load for a certain period of time to make the friction surface of the shaft and the journal better match, and then it can be put into normal use.

3. After the diesel engine is started, first check whether the lubricating oil circuit is unobstructed and whether the oil pressure is normal. After the diesel engine enters normal operation, carefully check whether the diesel engine bearing operation and lubricating oil temperature are within the allowable range.

4. During the operation of the diesel engine, if the oil pressure suddenly drops, it should be stopped immediately to avoid dry grinding due to oil cut-off, causing major accidents.

5. During the operation of the diesel engine, the lubrication system should be kept clean and unobstructed. Clean the oil filter regularly. When cleaning, pay attention to whether there are metal particles or fragments of bearing bush anti-friction alloy in the filtered dirt (pay special attention to the centrifugal filter) so as to detect diesel engine bearing failure in time and take measures to prevent major accidents.
